While satellite distributors first began marketing to consumers, the cable industry did not give their new opponent much thought. Satellite TV customers seem to think so. Studies show that satellite customers pay an average of below $10 per month in addition to their cable. Digital satellite programming, too, which means accepting and better picture quality than traditional analog cable. Cable customers have the option to develop a digital but this incurs additional costs every month and not a guarantee of all channels will increase. And, with competition in the health measure satellite sector, consumers can be sure that further price competition. Your cable provider is not a competition. Do not think that affects your rates increase?
